CleanCut
Privacy policy
What stays on your device, what connected services handle, and the choices available to you.
Effective 20 September 20261. Who is responsible
CleanCut is a video and audio editing application provided by Fredy MBOVING. For privacy questions, support, or requests about your information, email mbovingfred@gmail.com. This policy covers CleanCut and its information pages on cloudfull.net/cleancut/.
2. Your media stays on your device
CleanCut processes imported photos, videos, audio, recorded voiceovers, generated captions, voice cleanup, and video enhancement on your device. These files and projects are not uploaded to the developer or an AI service for processing. The app accesses media you select and asks for system permissions when needed, such as microphone access to record a voiceover and photo-library access to save an export. You can change permissions in your device settings.
When you export, share, or save a project or finished media, the destination you choose receives that content and applies its own privacy practices. Copies in your photo library, shared folders, other apps, or device backups are separate from the app's local storage.
3. Local settings and model downloads
The app stores projects, downloaded models, language and editing preferences, your chosen age band, advertising choices, earned feature/export unlocks, and purchase entitlement information locally. It asks for an age band, not your date of birth. You do not need a CleanCut account. Bounded local diagnostic records help handle ad availability and unlock outcomes; they do not contain your media. CleanCut does not operate a separate analytics or cloud-sync backend.
Some speech and voice-cleanup features download model files from Hugging Face or GitHub. Apple speech features may also download system assets from Apple. The download provider receives ordinary connection information such as your IP address, the requested file, and technical request information to deliver the file and protect its service. Your audio and video are not included in those requests. Once the necessary models are available, processing can run offline. See the Hugging Face privacy policy, GitHub privacy statement, and Apple privacy policy.
4. Advertising and privacy choices
CleanCut uses Google AdMob for banners, optional rewarded ads that unlock features or exports, and ads at eligible breaks in editing. Google's advertising and consent services may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device and advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, app interactions, and crash or performance information. These services use and share this information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, and, where permitted by your choices, personalization. Your editing media and captions are not supplied to AdMob by CleanCut.
Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) presents applicable consent and privacy messages on both Android and iOS. When applicable, revisit them in Me → Manage privacy choices. On iOS, Apple separately controls permission to track across other companies' apps and websites. An Apple tracking request is shown when applicable; declining it does not prevent eligible advertising without the IDFA. An Apple tracking choice does not replace regional advertising consent choices.
Read Google's privacy policy, how Google uses advertising information, and Google's retention explanation. Google describes its mobile advertising data practices for Android and iOS.
5. Age protections
CleanCut is intended for people aged 13 and older. It does not request ads when the chosen age is under 13 or has not been provided. Ad requests for people aged 13–17 are nonpersonalized, with an ad content limit. Ages 13–15 receive Google's restrictive child treatment for ads and are marked as under the age of consent in its consent service. Ages 16–17 receive teen treatment. Adults may receive personalized ads subject to their choices and applicable requirements. The age band can be changed in Me. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to the developer, contact us so we can address it.
6. Remove Ads purchases
The optional Remove Ads purchase is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. The store processes payment and maintains the purchase against your store account. The developer does not receive your payment-card information. CleanCut uses store-provided transaction and entitlement information to verify, restore, and acknowledge the purchase. On Android, a signed purchase record is stored privately on the device to support offline access. These records are not sent to a developer purchase server.
An active entitlement removes ads and bypasses ad-supported unlocks. Restoring uses the same store account on the same platform; an Apple purchase does not transfer to Google Play or vice versa. Refunds or revocations are reflected when a successful store check detects them. Offline access may continue until a successful refresh. Store transactions are subject to the store's privacy and retention practices. See Apple's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
7. Support and this website
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot, and handle privacy requests, using our email provider. Please send only the information needed to explain the issue. We retain support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the request, address related issues, and meet applicable legal obligations; you can ask for deletion.
These CleanCut information pages use no advertising, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies. Hosting systems may process IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps, and browser information to deliver pages, maintain security, and resolve technical faults. Such information is used for those operational purposes and retained only as necessary for them.
8. Retention, deletion, and security
Local projects, settings, models, and earned unlocks remain until you remove them or clear the app's data. Use Projects and Storage & exports to remove content and downloaded models. Uninstalling or clearing app data removes the app's local records, subject to your operating system's backup and restore settings. Remove shared exports and backup copies separately. The store keeps its purchase record, so deleting app data does not cancel a purchase; eligible purchases can be restored. Google controls the retention of information it receives through its services.
Network services and model downloads use HTTPS. Local files rely on the device's operating-system protections. Keep your device secured and current. No storage or transmission method offers an absolute security guarantee.
9. Your rights and international processing
Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or object to processing, and withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Contact the email above for information held by the developer. Local media is under your control; we cannot retrieve or erase files we do not receive. For information processed by Google, Apple, GitHub, or Hugging Face, use their linked policies and controls. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority, including the CNIL in France.
Where European data-protection rules apply, processing necessary to deliver a requested feature or purchase is based on providing that service; support and security rely on legitimate interests, legal retention on legal obligations, and consent is requested for advertising or tracking where required. Providers may process data outside your country. Their policies describe locations, applicable transfer safeguards, and how to exercise your rights.
10. Changes
We update this policy when the app's data practices change. The effective date identifies the current version, and we provide additional notice or obtain new consent when required. Effective: 20 September 2026.
